It also has a tower based game mode that will take some time to clear each day. It’s a turn based game so the mechanics are fairly simple and repetitive. You have to spend a lot of time building up and modding your toons like in SWGOH but at least this game has a good deal of flourish and pizzazz. However I’m sure this game will evolve in time and more spending will incur. The PVP aspect (so far early on) isn’t as annoying as in other games and the guild aspect is pretty rudimentary. That said this game is still a nice collection game for anyone who’s a fan of the series.

It’s got that Sega action style that you see on games like Yakuza but this time it’s for this beloved manga series. Man that song is so epic.įirst off I’m glad Sega took the reins on this one. I still haven’t deleted the game just because I like the music when the game starts. Still, might as well give it a shot since it’s free to try. Otherwise, the gameplay is pretty boring which mainly consists of farming and upgrading. If that sounds like fun, and you enjoy seeing your favorite Hokuto no Ken characters increase their stats with bigger numbers popping over their heads all the time, then this game is for you. Instead of fighting battles, 90% of your time spent with this game will be opening chests, farming mats, upgrading you units, stuff like that. The battles look great and sound great and the specials are a joy to watch, but the combat is so simplistic it’s barely a game. But play for awhile, and you discover the gameplay is almost nonexistent. It was just oozing with nostalgia and fan service. And as a fan of Hokuto no Ken, this game seemed like a dream come true. The art, voice acting, music, the high production cut scenes, everything was spot on.
